Marathon running coach Noldi Callura
Noldi
Arnoldo Callura was born in Affoltern aA and was soon called "Noldi" everywhere. Even as a child, his legs carried him everywhere where there was something to explore. It wasn't long before he started to take part in sporting activities. After doing gymnastics in his youth, Noldi turned to football, which he remained loyal to until his teens.
A period of experimentation and a lot of traveling followed. Noldi started swimming and diving. On climbing tours he discovered the fascination of the mountains. Extensive partying was also a central activity during this time. However, as a side effect, this was wearing on the body and reducing stamina. At this point he said to himself: "Noldi, you have to do something!"
Noldi bought racing shoes and tights. He set off on his first jog. It was hard and painful at the beginning, but something happened that really helped his fitness to improve. The first Vita course followed, which seemed endless at first. But after just a few, disciplined visits to the Vita course, Noldi felt that these laps in nature were fun. A second Vita course was soon no longer enough and his training sessions became longer and longer.
It wasn't long before the first competition, the Zurich New Year's Eve Run, took place. "Wow, so many good runners," thought Noldi. They inspired him to plan his running training better. He bought training books, started to learn and structure his training. The result was that he took part in many more competitions. At some point, however, Noldi reached a point where he was not making any progress. So he joined the TV-Unterstrass athletics club, where he was able to expand his practical knowledge. From that point on, his enthusiasm for running became so great that it was to determine his entire life from then on.
In addition to competitive sport, he became active in the organizing committee of the Zurich New Year's Eve Run, where he began a successful collaboration with Bruno Lafranchi as a running coach. After Bruno Noldi asked him if he would like to run a training camp with him, his passion for running coaching was fully ignited!
As a result, Noldi was appointed running coach for the Zurich Marathon preparation training, and for 16 years he enthusiastically wrote training plans and led training sessions for many athletes.
Noldi Callura's passion and dedication for running and his ability to inspire people to take up the sport have always given him great satisfaction. In addition, Noldi completed a degree in sports medicine. As a result, Noldi now has a broad range of practical skills and a great deal of theoretical knowledge. This means that he can always guarantee his customers and training partners professional support at a high level.
Racing is passion, passion inspires. My goal is to inspire my customers. Noldi Callura
